U.S. Health Index launches UHEB, a 50-constituent healthcare equity benchmark
U.S. Health Index (USHX) has launched UHEB, a rules-based benchmark designed to provide a clear, accessible reference for the U.S. healthcare equity market. The published basket brings together 50 U.S.-domiciled companies listed on the NYSE or Nasdaq across seven industry segments.
UHEB spans pharmaceuticals and biopharma, biotechnology, medical devices, providers and services, managed care, life sciences, and healthcare technology. Defined segment allocations and equal weights within each segment give users a structured view of this diverse sector. Constituents are screened using the methodology’s market capitalization, public float, liquidity and trading-history requirements.
The launch provides institutions, investors, researchers and policymakers with a dedicated reference for examining healthcare equities. Users can explore the benchmark’s closing-history chart, review its constituent directory and access the published release directly.
The launch release uses a September 18, 2026 reference date and an October 1, 2026 effective date. It was published on October 6, 2026. The closing series is based at 1,000 on September 30, 2026. UHEB is a price-return benchmark; ordinary cash dividends are not reinvested.
UHEB and the USHX digital token have distinct roles. The benchmark measures a healthcare equity basket. The token trades independently, and its market price does not represent the UHEB index level or ownership of its constituent securities.
